In the new 12-page watch released by Rolex this year, you will see a new black and green GMT-Master II called "Sprite GMT" (model number: 126720VTNR). This GMT is unquestionably a highly topical watch. This is not only the first time that Rolex has used this design color-matching on the ceramic bezel, but unexpectedly moved the crown and calendar window to the left side. The replica market has already prepared a batch of fakes as usual. It wasn't until the Rolex took the watch out that you knew the crown was moving, you were stunned!

Some voices said, "Is this design beautiful?" Other voices said, "Which hand is it designed for?" This replica Rolex GMT-Master II is still designed for the left hand, so is it a waste of money to choose it? But in the watch market, it is not only Rolex that has this kind of watch design, but also Panerai, Omega and so on.

Panerai's left-handed styles are truly numerous. The uniquely  bridge-shaped crown has always been one of Panerai's iconic designs. By placing it on a position that people are not used to, it makes it more visible. For example, model Pam00649, this watch is inspired by classic Panerai watches between 1993 and 1996 - before being acquired by Vendôme, part of the Richemont group.

When Mr. Angelo Bonati was asked why he made the PAM649 a left-handed watch, whether it was a prototype watch or a left-handed design, his response was very dashing:

"There's no reason. There's already a blue and white colorway (PM650), so we should do something for left-handers as well. People always have to come up with a new pattern for a certain design, but often that doesn't is not necessary."

Panerai expressed on their website that they've been making left-handed watches for the Italian Navy since the 1940s, but I think combining the naval heritage with what Mr. Angelo says is the full picture. On the one hand, it has cultural value, and at the same time, the left-handed watch market does not have enough choices, and many people have not been able to enjoy the pleasure of wearing watches comfortably. Maybe it's a natural instinct to wear the watch on your hand that isn't used often, just do it,  What else is the reason?
